Team’s Up – Kenny, McCowan and Nygren start for Celtic

Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy has named his team for this afternoon’s game against Aberdeen. The Frenchman has been under intense pressure after losing his first four games in charge of the Scottish Champions but the games are coming thick and fast.

This afternoon, Aberdeen are in Glasgow’s East End as they look to continue their strong domestic form of late – winning five out of their last seven.

In goals, Kasper Schmeichel continues.

The Danish Internationalist will start behind Kieran Tierney, Auston Trusty and Tony Ralston.

The midfield duo will be Arne Engels and Callum McGregor with Yang and Daizen Maeda out wide.

In attack, Johnny Kenny starts through the middle with Benji Nygren and Reo Hatate in those advanced midfield roles.

Subs: Sinisalo, Simpson-Pusey, Scales, Shin, Inamura, Bernardo, Forrest, Murray, Donovan.

The fact that there are five defenders on the bench speaks volumes about the depth of the squad.
