Sunday’s fightback will mean nothing if we don’t take care of business tonight

Sunday’s fightback at Ibrox won’t mean anything if we don’t take care of business tonight up at Pittodrie…

Tonight we make the long journey to Pittodrie to take on Aberdeen in our much anticipated game in hand, and I don’t have to tell you how vital it is that we register a victory, and bag a valuable three points as we look cut the gap on current leaders Hearts.

After all the drama of Sunday, fighting back from two goals down at Ibrox, to breathe hope into our title chances, it’s imperative we hold onto that feel good factor and injection of confidence and take it into Pittodrie stadium later this evening.

Despite the euphoria of salvaging a vital point on Sunday, we have now registered two league games without a win, resulting in FIVE precious points being dropped which isn’t ideal, especially with leaders Hearts capitalising with two hard fought wins to gain a tighter grip on top spot.

We can’t continue to sleepwalk through games, and rely on last minute winners or equalisers, and allowing our opponents two goal advantages, we need to take control of proceedings right from the start and prove our quality, and in a perfect world we would be strolling over the line as opposed to staggering through.

Tonight will be tough task, despite the Dons woeful record of late. They’re at home and are just as desperate for the three points as ourselves. They will make it extremely difficult for us, just like every other side does when they face the champions.

It’s up to us to overcome that obstacle, and I’m extremely confident we can do just that. But we’ve got to start better than we did at Ibrox, that goes without saying.

A similar performance to Sunday’s second half showing will see us overcome the Dons, thats a cert. It’s vital that we do just that, or the feel good factor created on Sunday won’t mean a thing.
