Tomorrow sees the top two sides in Scotland going head to head, let’s make sure it’s Celtic who come out on top in Wilfried Nancy’s first game as Celtic manager….

Tomorrow sees us take on Hearts in what is our most important game of the campaign thus far. It’s undoubtedly the biggest game in the country this weekend, even more so with it being the start of the Wilfried Nancy era at Celtic, and it has all the ingredients to be a cracking game of football as the top two sides in the country go head to head.
Hearts still top on goal difference but Celtic has a game in hand
Hearts are still top due to goal differential, but with Celtic having the advantage of an extra game to play, and being at home, the onus is all on the champions to get the required result, which is of course all three points. Three points clear with a game in hand tomorrow night is not a position we would have expected to have been in after losing at Tynecastle at the end of October.

Hearts probably would be happy with a point
The Jambos will most likely be content with a point, but make no mistake, they will be out to punish any slackness or indecision in our side, and we will have to be at our very best to come out on top. The atmosphere will most likely be akin to that of a Glasgow Derby due to the current situation of both sides, so it’s a game that we will all be all thoroughly looking forward to.

Wilfried Nancy has inherited a tremendous position from Martin O’Neill
Martin O’Neill hands over his perfect domestic record to Nancy who as a result can go top of the league tomorrow and can lift the Premier Sports Cup next weekend against St Mirren at Hampden. In between that he can also take a huge step towards Europa League qualification on Thursday night against Roma after the Martin O’Neill inspired win in Rotterdam over Feyenoord dramatically improved Celtic’s chances.
Let’s hope we prevail in all three matches under the new manager who can really hit the ground running as Celtic manager in his first week in charge. Beating Hearts will in turn lay down a marker to the rest of the league. We are the champions after all, let’s show them why.
