Sky Sports presenter Eilidh Barbour is usually always on the pulse of the Scottish game but made an embarrassing gaffe during this afternoon’s coverage of the Glasgow Derby.
Barbour, who was joined in the studio by James McFadden, Stan Petrov and Kris Boyd rounded up the afternoon by saying that Celtic have been dominant in the fixture of late but that has come to an end and Rangers will have the bragging rights in Glasgow over the summer.
The seasoned-presenter clearly has stopped paying attention to The Scottish Cup given that Sky’s rivals Viaplay cover that competition. Celtic have a Final to compete for and a Treble on the line.
Eilidh Barbour talking about bragging rights in Glasgow being at Ibrox 😂😂😂 away ye go

The bragging rights will stay at ibrox says Eilidh Barbour. Give it a rest love, bragging rights stay with the champions 🍀🏆

@EilidhBarbour “bragging rights to Rangers over the summer” you just said! 😂😂😂 think a double and potential treble will keep the bragging rights firmly with Celtic over the summer! One dead rubber game or 2 or 3 trophies! Hmm let me think! 🏆 🏆 🏆 you don’t half talk nonsense

Did @EilidhBarbour actually just say the bragging rights will remain at ibrox all summer 🤣🤣 I could have swore we are going for a treble in a few weeks

Ange Postecoglou’s side face Inverness CT with a win securing a new world record of Trebles. Celtic were beaten today by the hungrier team but given the level of changes and intensity of play in recent months, the Scottish Champions were due a slip up and given it’s a dead rubber, not many fans will be losing much sleep over the defeat.
Today's game was a good opportunity for us to understand problems of our team. We were able to take the first step in building stronger team for next season. No matter what they say, it never change the fact that we are champion and they are not🍀

We have all seen games like that v Oldco. League over, pride to play for and suddenly a set of players turn up. Loads say that when it comes down to it, games like today don’t matter and, really, they don’t. You do take the hurt and pain to ensure that it never happens again 💚
