Fabrizio Romano has provided a grim update for Celtic fans regarding the future of Jota. The 24-year-old is a target for Al Ittihad and it is believed that he is keen on the move, according to the Italian transfer guru.

Al Ittihad are managed by Nuno Espirito Santo and have already signed Ngolo Kante and Karim Benzema but it appears that they are making a move for Celtic’s Jota. Now, Romano has confirmed that they are nearing agreement with parties engaging in discussions with final contract details to be discussed.

Jota is said to have been offered £10m-per-year in personal terms, which is a life changing amount of money. This works out at roughly £192k-per-week, a substantial increase on his current wage packet at Celtic.

In 83 appearances, Jota has scored 28 goals and assisted 26 times. The Portuguese star is adored by the Celtic supporters but if he is keen on a move then there is only really one outcome.

Celtic are nearing a deal to sign Marco Tilio from Melbourne City as the Scottish Champions continue their evolution of the squad into the new season. Odin Thiago Holm has already signed and it expected that there will be more incomings and outgoings ahead of the new season.
