Celtic agree deal for £9m star but major hurdle to be cleared

Celtic have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Julian Araujo on loan from Bournemouth. The Scottish Champions require to be busy in the transfer window to strengthen ahead of a tilt to regain the Premiership title.

Now, Sky Sports’ Anthony Joseph is reporting that Celtic have agreed a deal and the Mexican fullback is in Glasgow to conclude the switch. However, Celtic face a nervous wait as to whether he will be available to face Rangers as Bournemouth have maxed their loan quota.

Joseph claims that Iraola’s side are considering recalling Dominic Sadi from his loan at Novi Pazar, which will allow for a space to open up for the loan to be registered.

Celtic require a number of players but Araujo will add quality to the backline, especially with Alistair Johnston sidelined. Wilfried Nancy requires additions immediately and the Frenchman needs results to go his way immediately as pressure mounts on the former Columbus Crew manager.
