OVERALL – 5/10 – A defeat. At the worst time. For many reasons? Mainly for the obvious. As mentioned briefly above…Hibs are decent and we fell to a mental lapse for the opener. But the recovery and focus was good, the pressure from half-time to the ridiculous underhand sabotage was staging a win. I thought had we nailed the second, a third would surely have followed as Hibs resilience crumbled…

Not to be. But as a performance versus a capable SPL opponent with a full complement, I’m not condemning anyone; after a tussle, the game was looking like ours or a frustrating point at least. Now we find ourselves on the back foot after a chance to take the top. And Hibs find themselves the architects of their greatest rivals’ most joyous Sunday of the season. Only Hibs could win at Celtic Park and still be Hibsing-it beyond anything they’ve ever done before…

So it looks like this – play me and another unlucky ten drawn by straws from Celtic Noise on Thursday and get the first-choice eleven rested and fit for Mordor next Sunday. A win there will do nicely and mentally finish the Zombies as a hapless title challenger, while we can rack up the points waiting for the Replicants to implode – which they will – and help us pip the real title contenders to our trophy…
