Bhoys Winter Clothing Collection Taking Place By Billy McNeill Statue Today

The Bhoys Ultras will today be holding a winter clothing collection at the bottom of the Celtic Way this afternoon.

The initiative, in conjunction with Glasgow homeless charity The Invisibles, is vitally important at this time of year. Unfortunately, more people are becoming homeless in the city or at risk of becoming so. The Invisibles are an independent group which is committed to providing practical assistance to those most impacted by rough sleeping. They provide essential items to those who need it and will be grateful of any donations that can be brought to the bottom of the Celtic Way prior to the match against Aberdeen today.

Essential items include:

  • Men’s warm jackets
  • Men’s warm footwear (especially size 7 and 8)
  • Men’s hoodies
  • Men’s joggers
  • Toiletries

Volunteers will be on site from 11.30am and the collection point will receive items throughout the day until much closer to kick off.

This is the second charitable collection by Celtic Ultras in two weeks. Indeed, the Green Brigade collected 8 vans worth of food and over £20,000 cash prior to the Hearts game on 7 December – an annual collection that the group undertakes. Now the Bhoys seek to help the less fortunate, in keeping with Celtic’s raison detre and ongoing identity.

All donations will be gratefully received.
