There have been a few questions asked about who’s pulling the strings at Celtic just now, especially after the signing of Liam Shaw was wrapped up without a permanent manager in place.
It appears to be the case that the club are trying to wrap up the signings of a few talented youngsters without waiting for appointments to be made, so it must just be the case that they see them as being can’t miss prospects.
The cross border rule allows Celtic to pick up young players from down south for relatively low development fees, and the latest player to be linked is Rochdale winger Kwadwo Baah.
He’s clearly highly rated as it’s reported that Man City are also working hard to get him signed up, but initial talks broke down and that leaves the door open for Celtic to get something sorted.

Again he’s another player where it’s hard to figure out what the plan would be for them next season, but he has played in 26 senior games this year so he should expect to be in the first team mix next year.
You can see similarities with the moves for players like Luca Connell, Lee O’Connor and Jonathan Afolabi where they might be loaned out for a year or two, but the hope will be for another Jeremie Frimpong type signing who suddenly blossoms into a first team star.
There’s little suggestion that he’s going to sign a new deal but West Ham are also named as a possible destination, so there will be plenty of competition for his signature this summer.
