Team’s Up – Brendan names Celtic XI for Cork Super Cup

Brendan Rodgers has named his Celtic team for this evening’s Cork Super Cup game in the Rebel County. The Scottish Champions face the League of Ireland side as part of the preparations for the new season.

After last Friday’s win over Queen’s Park, Celtic ramp up their preparations with the return of a few stars. However, a large number of internationalist remain outstanding as they work through the early stages of their training regime.

In goals, Finnish stopper Vil Sinisalo starts.

In defence, Colby Donovan starts at right back with new signing Hayato Inamura starting at left back as Auston Trusty and Dane Murray continue in the central pairing.

In midfield, skipper Callum McGregor starts with Arne Engels and Luke McCowan.

In attack, Ben Summers starts out wide with James Forrest with Irishman Johnny Kenny starting through the middle.

Subs: Doohan, Clarke, Rice, Osmand, Montgomery, Frame, McPherson, Robertson, Ure, McArdle, Hatton, Turley, Welsh & Isiguzo.
